Frequently asked questions

Questions and answers

Do I need to speak French already?

Not at all. We welcome true beginners, and everything is offered with friendly, bilingual support — an advantage you won't find with France-based programs built for advanced learners.

How is this different from an app or an online tutor?

Apps are solitary and tutors sell you hours. We give you a teacher, a culture, and a community — plus products and resources you keep, even between sessions.

Do I have to commit long-term?

No. Community evenings, workshops and conversation circles are paid one at a time — no membership, no subscription. The year-long French Cotillion & Character™ is the one program you commit to for the season.

Are the children's programs scholarship-eligible?

We participate in Florida's Step Up for Students ecosystem. Ask us about your family's options.

Who teaches?

Héloïse Landry, a Québécoise master teacher with 25 years of experience, certified in Québec and Florida.

How much does it cost?

It depends on your path. Step Up families fund our six homeschool services with their scholarship through the EMA Marketplace — no card needed. Adults pay directly, by the session or the package: French Nights from $35, one-afternoon workshops $75, an eight-week conversation circle $190, private hours $75. The year-long French Cotillion & Character™ is $1,799.

How soon will I see progress?

Most learners feel more confident speaking within the first few weeks, because every session maximizes real speaking time and you practice between classes. Progress is CEFR-aligned so you can see it.

Do you use AI to teach?

No. AI is a supervised practice gym between sessions — pronunciation, conversation, repetition — but never the teacher. A certified human mentor forms your child's mind, character, and voice.
