Cancellation & Refund Policy

Step Up for Students / EMA Payments

For services funded through a Step Up for Students scholarship (PEP, FES-UA), all cancellations and adjustments are processed exclusively through invoice adjustment within the EMA platform. In accordance with program rules, The French Academy does not issue refunds, payments, or rebates of any kind directly to families for scholarship-funded services. Unused amounts remain in the student's scholarship account.

Direct Payments (Adult Programs & Non-Scholarship Enrollment)

  • Full refund for cancellations made up to 7 days before the start of a session.
  • Credit toward a future session for cancellations made within 7 days of the start date.
  • Themed evenings and special events: no refund for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event; before that, a full credit toward a future event will be issued.

Bring a Friend

Bring 1 friend — when a friend you refer enrolls in any adult program or direct-pay session, you each receive 10% off your next session or workshop.

Bring 2 friends — you receive one complimentary themed workshop (a $45 value), and each friend receives 10% off their first session.

Your friend simply mentions your name at enrollment — no codes, no forms. (Direct-pay enrollments only; in accordance with Step Up rules, promotional discounts cannot be applied to scholarship-funded services.)
